The Myeloma Stem Cell Network was established in november 2006 as a translational programme identifying and targeting the myeloma stem cell.

The network is supported by EU's Sixth Framework Programme and has formulated a strategy, which includes genomic and proteomic approaches, to examine the nature of the cell underlying multiple myeloma disease origins and progression.
