The EMN annual meeting will take place in Paris on 19 October 2009, followed by Scientific Group meetings for partners involved in prepairing drafts for the EU 7th FP Health.

| Agenda Gene expression profiling in Multiple Myeloma 30-31 January 2009 |
The aim of the workshop is to integrate viewpoints on GEP from preparation to analysis from myeloma study groups across Europe, including the groups of Dirk Hose, Antonino Neri, Gareth Morgan, Herve Avet-Loiseau, Hans Johnsen and Pieter Sonneveld. All participants are invited to give comments on the issues discussed. At the end of the meeting on Saturday, consensus views for each topic shall be presented by the chair.

| 170 EMN members are now registered |
We are happy to inform you that there are now 170 registered members of EMN, distributed in 25 European countries ( Map ). Furthermore, there are 20 members from countries outside Europe including Turkey, India and Canada.
We ask you kindly to encourage your colleagues and collaborators, actively involved in Multiple Myeloma research or in the care of patients, to register via this membership registration form. The membership is free.

| European Multiple Myeloma Biobank |
The Myeloma Stem Cell Network (MSCNET) is a network within the EMN, which is supported by EU's Sixth Framework Programme . One of the main focus areas in MSCNET was to create a common Biobank with a collection of samples from myeloma patient from the MSCNET member countries. Therefore members of the network have looked into their national legislation regarding Biobanking.
